Straight Story (2006)

Plot Outline:
This film is about an upside down world, where being homosexual is considered "normal" and heterosexual is
considered "not normal".

Somewhere in Greece everyone is gay…everyone that is except for Yiannis. When his two dads discover some
straight porn in his drawer their suspicions are aroused that their handsome son, who doesn’t have a
boyfriend, is secretly straight. It turns out that Yiannis is in love with his co-worker Sofia. The only
complication is that she has a girlfriend, Zeta, whom she loves. Yiannis is left to pine for Sofia and
attend underground “straight bars” with like-minded people. His dads have their own problems as one of them
is having an affair right under his husband’s nose. Straight Story is a look at what the world would be like
if the tables were turned and being straight was considered to be outside the mainstream.

Reviews:
Great movie that had me laughing the whole way through it! The actors for really well in this, and the star
form the hit TV series "Maria is askimy" is very very good in this film. Great mix of comedy, irony, romance,
and sex. A must see! Keeps you laughing all the way through, with Yianni and Sophia having some very good
moments between each other and her girl friend making that even funnier, not to mention Yiannis mates making
the film just as funny. A very funny scene when he has to try act gay. From what I understand the majority
are metria names in the big screen but after seen this im sure they will be big names in the near future.
